FAQ

Please review this page before booking. It has a ton of useful information! If you still have questions, please contact us.
  • Do you offer microblading?   -Short answer, no. At this time and for the foreseeable future this is not a service that is offered at our studio.

  • What is the difference between Powder Brows and Microblading?   -Ombre/Powder brows are created with a mechanical cosmetic tattoo machine. Micro dots are implanted into the skin which creates a build-able powder look as if you applied make up on your brows. Powder brows is less invasive and suitable for most/all skin types and is preferred for people who have oily or mature skin. Microblading uses a handheld tool to carve small cuts into the skin and the pigment is then deposited into the cuts. Repeated incisions over time into the same areas can cause trauma to the skin. Microblading is not suitable for oily skin and could require more frequent touch-ups.

  • What are the benefits of Powder Brows?   -This procedure is less invasive with little to no bleeding. It is also less painful (some discomfort is to be expected) and similar to rapid tweezing. Powder brows can last anywhere from 1-3 years with annual color boosts if necessary. Powder brows helps achieve the look of fuller brows that can be soft and natural or more bold and defined depending on what the client prefers.

  • Who is not a good candidate for Powder Brows?   -As with other procedures, this is not suitable for everyone. You should avoid this procedure or consult your doctor before booking if you have any of these pre-existing health conditions:

    • Pregnant/breastfeeding
    • Cancer/have received chemotherapy in the last 12 months
    • Diabetes
    • Epilepsy or autoimmune disorders
    • Bleeding disorders
    • Viral infections/transmittable blood conditions
    • Vitiligo
    • Heart conditions
    • Blood pressure issues
    • Prone to keloids
    • If you are taking blood thinning medications
    • Eczema, dermatitis, or any other skin condition
    • Any other medical condition not listed that you require consistent monitoring/medication/treatments
  • What is the aftercare like?   -Very similar to regular tattoos! Don’t have any? No worries, We’ve got you! Below are the main items of aftercare. We send you home with an aftercare kit that sets you up for easy and safe healing. If you have any questions during your healing process we are always here to help!

    • Brows are gently washed 2x a day for the first 7-10 days
    • No exfoliating or use of a washcloth/wipe on the brows
    • No working out or any physical activities that would cause excessive sweating, saunas, or swimming for the first 7-10 days
    • Avoid heavy sun exposure
    • Avoid long and hot showers
    • No touching with unwashed hands or peeling of any scabs (they will shed naturally)
    • Avoid makeup/products on or around the brows for at least 14 days
    • Avoid facials for up to 6 weeks and do not use anti-aging products on or around the brow area
    • During the healing stage as your skin is shedding your brows may lighten. This is normal and happens with traditional tattoos! The pigment will resurface when your skin is fully healed. It will though heal lighter than how it looked on the day of your appointment.
  • How long does it take to heal?   -The immediate healing process takes anywhere from 7-10 days. The brow area itself can take 4-6 weeks for your skin to shed/heal completely and the pigment to surface to its true color. This is why you should schedule your touch-up 6-8 weeks for the best results.

  • How much do you charge?   -Our prices are listed in our scheduling link. Please refer to the Book Now tab or click HERE to see our current rates. Please note that a NON-REFUNDABLE $50 booking fee/retainer fee is required at the time of booking any appointments (except for the 6-8 week touch-up which is $25) and will be applied to the cost of your appointment. The remaining balance owed is due at your appointment. We accept payment card and cash payments.

  • What do I need to know before my appointment?   -If you follow these tips, it will help make your appointment a breeze!

    • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to your procedure. Do not drink alcohol in excess after your procedure as it will slow down your healing process
    • On the day of your appointment avoid caffeine/exercise and wash your hair prior to since hot showers are not recommended
    • Do not take an Aspirin or Ibuprofen, unless medically necessary. You may resume immediately after the procedure, but these will thin the blood and compromise pigment retention in your skin
    • Do not wax, tan or tint the eyebrow area 3 days before your appointment
    • No anti-aging treatments such as microdermabrasion, retinol, chemical peels, laser, facials, or Botox 2 weeks before your appointment
    • Avoid wearing makeup to your appointment. You can do your brows how you would normally so we can get a feel of what you like but avoid foundation, etc
  • What if I have previous Microblading/Powder Brows?   -We can help you with that! Clients with previous brow work from another studio/artist are required to first send clear photos of your makeup-free brows to hello@letsgorebel.com PRIOR to booking an appointment. For cover-up or correction work, the best candidates are those with previous tattoos that have faded 70-80%. We need to make sure by analyzing a photo of your bare brows to confirm that they have faded enough as we want the best results for you! Any cover-up/correction work will incur an added rate of $100 due to the additional time, supplies and skills needed to sufficiently neutralize the existing brow tattoo. REMINDER: DO NOT BOOK A COVER-UP/CORRECTION APPOINTMENT WITHOUT WRITTEN CONFIRMATION FROM US APPROVING SO.

  • What is your rescheduling/cancellation policy?   -We know and understand that things come up. Life happens. Unfortunately though, because of the type of service we provide and because we are an appointment only small business we cannot easily fill in your appointment slot as many of our clients book weeks/months in advance. We appreciate your understanding.

    • Please be sure that you are able to make your appointment before you book. We do NOT allow cancellations once an appointment is booked.
    • Rescheduling of your appointment is allowed if notified/self-processed up to one week (7 days) prior to your scheduled appointment day.
    • Cancellations made within one week (7 days) of your scheduled appointment day/no shows will result in forfeit of your booking fee/retainer fee.
      • If you contact us to cancel your appointment within one week (7 days) of your scheduled appointment but wish to reschedule for a future appointment, a new booking fee/retainer fee will be required upon booking.
